Fair Trade™ Fiesta
CARLSBAD, CA (June 2018) – For more than 25 years prAna has been striving for positive changes through the use of sustainable materials and production. In spring / summer 2019, the Californian brand is going for Fair Trade™produced styles such as women’s Baja Popover, Milango Short or the Broderick Shirt for men. With the Fair Trade™ initiative prAna aims to give something back to the people behind the garments..
The Baja Popover is versatile and sustainable. The sweater for women is made of double woven organic cotton and is produced by Fair Trade™ standrads. The summer part comes with hood, kangaroo pocket, 3/4 button panel and a hidden inside pocket for passport and other valuables. The Baja Popover is equipped with a drawstring at the lower waistband and can therefore be worn casually wide or closer to the body.
Also produced from an organic cotton blend and Fair Trade™ is the matching Milango Short. The short comes with front and back patch pockets, an elasticized back waist and a drawcord at the front. The material is soft and light on the skin and makes the Milango Short the ideal trousers for travel or everyday adventures.
In spring / summer 2019 great looks with a sustainable background are also waiting for men. For example, the Broderick Shirt will be a new edition of 2018’s Broderick Embroidery: the stylish shirt with button-down collar will be available in 7 different colors / prints and two different fits (slim & standard). Like its forerunner, the Broderick Shirt is made of organic cotton. In spring 2019, however, the prAna classic will also be produced following Fair Trade™ standards.
